Hydronic Design Service
I am one of a few Radiant Panel Association certified designers. As an original Charter Board Member I sat on the technical committee that wrote the first US standard “RPA guidelines”. I use Wrightsoft radiant specific CAD software to perform heat load analysis and specify the appropriate heating, cooling and ventilation for your project. Radiant floors, walls, ceilings and European style wall-hung panel radiators are my everyday comfort making tools.

Older boiler systems
Naturally, questions pertaining to older hot water heating systems are welcome. Boilers should be serviced by a qualified “boiler technician” every year, to assure safety and reliability. If your “gas provider” or “heating contractor” is “taking care of it” ask him for a post-service, 10 point, system check list. (20 points, if you have a condensing boiler).
One of the best ways to save fuel, short of replacing your boiler with a condensing variety, is to have it cleaned and tuned by a professional using a quality combustion analyzer. In addition, fuel saving controls that feature outdoor reset (a standard feature most residential condensing boilers today) can lower your fuel bill by as much as 15%.
